Image from: Edukasyon. Among the nationwide exams that never fail to gather thousands of takers every year are the eligibility exams administered by the CSC. Due to the ongoing impacts of COVID-19, and the uncertainty of restarting in-person exam-related services, DCAS has postponed the release of the Annual Examination Schedule until September 2020. Civil service exams may be available only for a limited time and it may be a few years before a certain exam is offered again. You must wait at least 24 hours after receipt of your score to reapply for the same section of the Exam. The NTS is valid for one testing event or until the expiration date, whichever is first exhausted for each Exam section. If your Exam has already launched at the test site, you will not be eligible to reapply and sit in the same window.
Again It's Exam Full
You studied for hours, days, weeks, and months for the CPA Exam. You ignored your family and friends, consumed nothing but carbs and caffeine, and DVR’d your favorite shows only to let them sit while you kept your nose buried in your prep materials.
And you didn’t pass. Ugh.
Your first instinct upon seeing a sub-75 might be to let out a primal scream and put your foot through your computer. But it also might be to reschedule that failed section and retake it right away.
But wait!
Before you log into CPA Central to reapply, remember this:
You may not repeat any section within the same testing window. If you reapply for the same section within the same testing window, the effective date of your new Notice to Schedule (NTS) will begin in the next testing window.
And…
- You must wait at least 24 hours after receipt of your score to reapply for the same section of the Exam. The NTS is valid for one testing event or until the expiration date, whichever is first exhausted for each Exam section.
- If your Exam has already launched at the test site, you will not be eligible to reapply and sit in the same window. In that event, the effective dates of your new NTS will begin in the next testing window.
